Legal Use & Compliance
Modifications performed by Cap Coast ECU Tuning may not comply with local, state or federal regulations, including ADR (Australian Design Rules). Our services are primarily intended for off-road or racing use only, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
As the vehicle owner, it is your responsibility to ensure your vehicle remains legal and roadworthy if driven on public roads. We accept no liability for any fines, penalties, or legal issues that arise from non-compliant modifications. By proceeding with our services, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for complying with all relevant laws and regulations.
Risks & Liability Waiver
Modifying a vehicle carries inherent risks. Cap Coast ECU Tuning is not responsible for any damage, mechanical failure, or performance issues that occur during or after the modification process. This includes but is not limited to:
- Engine or transmission failure
- Electrical faults
- Compatibility issues with existing systems
By engaging our services, you agree to release Cap Coast ECU Tuning, its staff, and contractors, from any liability for damages, breakdowns, or costs such as towing, repairs, or loss of use.
Authorisation and Customer Responsibility
By booking with Cap Coast ECU Tuning, you authorize us to perform the agreed modifications on your vehicle.
Please note:
- Modifications may void your manufacturer’s warranty.
- Modifications may affect your insurance coverage. We recommend confirming with your insurer prior to proceeding.
- You are responsible for ensuring all modifications are legally compliant.
Cap Coast ECU Tuning is not liable for any issues relating to warranty, insurance, or road legality.
Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of work (Cash on Delivery).
- Deposits may be required for parts ordered in advance.
- Late payments and storage fees:
$30 per day for the first 30 days
$50 per day for the following 60 days
After 90 days of non-payment, we reserve the right to reclaim and sell the vehicle to cover outstanding costs. - Card Payment Fees:
Mastercard: 1.7%
American Express: 2.8%
Vehicle Road Testing
To ensure your vehicle operates correctly after tuning, road testing may be required. Testing will only occur if you provide valid insurance coverage that includes our staff during vehicle operation.
In the event of an accident where our staff are at fault, we will cover your insurance excess only. We do not cover additional costs or claims beyond this.
Security & Liability
We take all reasonable precautions to keep your vehicle secure while in our care. However, Cap Coast ECU Tuning is not liable for any damage, loss, or theft resulting from events beyond our control, including (but not limited to) fire, natural disasters, or vandalism.
We recommend removing all personal valuables before leaving your vehicle with us.
Dyno Testing
If dyno testing is requested or required, Please note that it places your vehicle under high mechanical stress. This process may lead to mechanical failures (e.g. tire blowouts, engine or driveline damage).
We are not responsible for any damage resulting from dyno testing if such a failure causes damage to our equipment or requires cleanup, you will be held financially responsible.
Fuel Policy
All vehicles must arrive with at least 50% fuel in the tank, unless otherwise arranged.
If refueling is necessary, the following charges apply:
- 98 RON Petrol: $3.00/L
- Diesel: $2.80/L
